How long before the area will be made a World Heritage Site?
The initial planning project was scheduled to run over an eighteen (18) month period up to September 2010. This has been extended and further announcements will follow regarding the completion date.
After submission of the Nomination Dossier there will be an evaluation process by UNESCO which may take up to two years to complete.
It is therefore difficult at this stage to give a definitive date for when the WHS will achieve final inscription.
